The fact that partition can be made of such materials like bricks, gypsum slab-to-slab or aerated concrete boards is well-known to everyone who has ever encountered this type of construction. All these materials refer to notion of “wet” (traditional) construction. But some time ago the professionals have learned another term – “drywall” construction.

Main difference of this method in contrast to “wet” one is the application of such materials like plasterboards and metal channels. Thanks to utilisitation of these materials the labour-intensive “wet” processes, which require more time for rebuilding works, are excluded.

To such processes refer, for example, wall plastering. But because of fact, that all components of “drywall construction” are light-weighted and can be handled even by one person, this type is often called “light” construction.

Under other advantages of drywall construction are following:

• Possibility of hiding of built-in systems (pipes, ducts and different elements for lighting purposes)

• Creation of integral, smooth and ready for painting or lining surface
